Grades are divided into two categories, Kyu Grades and Dan Grades. All grade are associated with a colour and a numeric value.
Kyu grades have different coloured belts for each grade.
Before a student can take a grading, they must achieve the required skill standard and have a minimum number of training attendances between grades.
All dan grades wear a black belt with a number of associated gold tabs, depending on their grade.
All Dan grades must hold a current first aid certificate
